Grau, Enrique Biography Enrique Grau was born in Panama, and raised inCartegna, Columbia. Renowned for his depictions of Indian and Afro-Colombian figures, Grau was a member of the triunvirate of key Colombian artists of that also included Botero and Alejandro Obregon. A self-made artist, Grau studied at the Art Students Laegue in NYC, in the early 1940s. He later toured Italy, before moving to the city of Cartagena.
