Martinez, Alfredo Ramos Biography Born in Monterrey, Mexico, Alfredo Ramos Martinez first studied under the nineteenth century master Santiago Rebull at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes. In 1900 he received a scholarship and traveled to Europe. After being successful in both Mexico and Europe, Matinez became finacially independent. He later moved to LA.
